Why an SDK?
ToolPouch started as a collection of browser-based tools. But developers kept asking: can I use these functions in my own code? Today we are publishing @toolpouch/sdk - the same utility functions that power ToolPouch, packaged as a lightweight npm module.
What is included
51 pure functions across 6 modules: Dates (10 functions for business days, date math, age calculation, formatting), Text (15 functions for case conversion, extraction, cleanup), Data (10 functions for JSON, XML, CSV, SQL formatting and conversion), Generators (6 functions for UUID, random strings, hashes, password strength), Calculators (6 functions for finance, units, percentages), Colors (4 functions for HEX, RGB, HSL conversion).
Zero dependencies
The entire SDK has no external dependencies. It compiles to 64KB unpacked. Every function is a pure function with no side effects, making it safe to use in any environment - Node.js, browser, edge workers, or serverless functions.
Tree-shakeable
Import only what you need. Each module has its own entry point: `import { businessDaysBetween } from '@toolpouch/sdk/dates'`. Your bundler will only include the functions you actually use.
TypeScript included
Full TypeScript declarations are included. Every function has typed parameters and return values. No @types package needed.
Get started
Install with `npm install @toolpouch/sdk`. See the full API reference at toolpouch.app/developers. The source code is available on GitHub.
