Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ToolPouch.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ToolPouch provides free browser-based utilities for file conversion, compression, formatting, encoding, and other processing tasks. Most tools run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and native browser APIs. Your files are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless explicitly stated.

3. No Account Required

ToolPouch does not require you to create an account. The Service is available to anyone with a modern web browser. Some features like saved workflows are stored locally in your browser using localStorage.

4. Local Processing

For tools marked "Processed locally," your files never leave your device. Processing occurs entirely within your browser. We do not have access to, store, or transmit your files. Files are cleared from memory when you close the tab.

Some tools may require server-side processing. These tools will clearly indicate this before you upload any file, and temporary files are deleted immediately after processing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code beyond what is publicly available
• Overload or disrupt the Service infrastructure
• Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures

6. Intellectual Property

The ToolPouch name, logo, design, and code are the property of Buukmark OU (registration code 17465134). You retain all rights to your own files and content processed through the Service. We claim no ownership or rights over your files.

7. Advertisements

ToolPouch is a free service supported by advertisements. Ads are displayed in designated areas and will never interfere with tool functionality. Ads will never appear inside upload controls, between a selected file and its action button, or disguised as download buttons.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that tools will produce specific results, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that output files will meet your requirements. Always keep backup copies of important files.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buukmark OU and ToolPouch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, file corruption, or processing errors.

10. Third-Party Libraries

ToolPouch uses open-source libraries including FFmpeg (LGPL/GPL), pdf-lib, PDF.js, and others. These libraries are subject to their own license terms. A list of third-party notices is available upon request.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
